Bringing people together through books and literary events has been my passion since I was 19, resulting in over 25 years’ experience in publishing and bookselling.
Following an undergrad in Bookselling and Publishing from a German university, I moved to Edinburgh for another year of studies at Napier University.
A part-time job at Blackwell’s Bookshop grew into a 13-year career that included running the busy Schools Department, coordinating Back To University bookstalls and hosting a packed events programme featuring local, national and international authors such as Sir Ian Rankin, Margaret Atwood, Mary Beard and Graham Norton.
From 2018 to 2026, I worked as a Sales Representative for Edinburgh-based publisher Birlinn Ltd and their Client list, travelling the width and breadth of Scotland to visit indie bookshops and wherever else good books are sold.
In October 2026, I set up as a publishing and event freelancer, offering Scottish sales representation to publishers as well as programming and event support for anyone in the literary sphere.
